Jan and
Jarry Sedlacek were first inspired to invent Lollipop Inc. anti-grazing
reins (grass reins) as a result of personal necessity. Joelle, their
daughter, was 5 years old and riding her pony Lollipop in pony club,
on trails, foxhuntung and showing. Joelle wasn't strong enough at that
age to stop Lollipop from lowering her head and eating grass during
these activities. The anti-grazing devices of the time were ugly and/or
unsafe and difficult to attach to a pony.
Three criteria were considered to improve the already existing anti-grazing
reins:
1. Simple enough for kids
to put on the pony themselves.
2. Functional to keep
the pony from lowering its head.
3. Safe and Attractive
so as to be able to wear in the show ring.
Lollipop Grass Reins are the result: SIMPLE FUNCTIONAL SAFE
